OK, I know this should be quite obvious but I'm not very clever. =] Well, I want to set up a web server or my computer. I've tried editing my broadband settings to give access to Port 80(?), but I don't think my BB Provider allows me to change these settings soooooo I'll just use it to install and test PHP scripts. I'm just reinstalling Apache now. What information should I use in the installation process? (I think I might have done it wrong on previous occasions).

I'd suggest using a package like XAMPP or WAMP if you're interested in PHP,MySQL, Apache etc. They bother offer different things. I don't have experience using either, but I've been told they're good if you don't really know how to set up and compile PHP and whatnot.

In my opinion, WAMP looks the more professional one and has more features(I think), so I'll have a go at installing that.
