The Potter Police, Magikal-Fantasy, and Accio-PottersWorld have all merged into one site. We still provide help to Potter World, but we will also strive to help websites in the Magical Fantasy world. We will also provide a site for Dumbledore (Terry) to provide support for his Invision skins.

We finally took the plunge and upgraded Bewitched Mind (with huge thanks to Terry and Rich).  The plan was to be back online today for our 3rd Anniversary.  Yes, we are online but the Anniversary category we created after the upgrade doesn't show for non-admin.    At the same time, categories that were invisible (reached via URL links) are showing!

I've checked the permissions but have global Show and Read on the Anniversary forum.  What haven't I checked?

I had a bit of a brainwave just before I left work and got the Anniversary stuff to show.  Phew!  Thanks for checking.

I'm still pondering our Restricted Section that we'd like to not be visible.  Terry sent me a suggestion and did something for us while I was gone.  I'm going to go check that out, though it isn't quite as clean in appearance as it was.  If it works, *shrug* perhaps that's the way it has to be.

Yes I check at the support sites and that function you once had was removed from the code when the new forum/category/subcategory system was added to the new version. There were more people that wanted the new system than wanted the invisible forum, so it was removed. I'm looking to see it any one has a third party modification for this, but no Joye so far.

No worries.  We went with the invisible because password protection would not hold in subforums.  That works now so we're happy with what you got started.  I cleaned it up a bit and we're good to go.

Thats good. I'm still working on the other things on your list, but I have been feeling under the weather this weekend. But I'll help in getting to the way you want.

Fixed. It was in the topics, post, etc settings, area. There is a dropdown box

I tried all three of those settings and it had no effect. It still looks like threads.

I think we got it figured out.  Apparently, the topic options override the board setting.  I reset the Option to Standard and all is as it should be once again.

Individual users can set there own settings, different from the main board.

The weird part is that I was fine until Rella sent me a link to the page she was on when she said she couldn't read the entire post and had no checkboxes for splitting posts.  When I clicked on the link, I saw the usual for a moment then it switched to the setting that Rella had.  That's seems like a glitch.

We were using IM but I fear that it would happen in an email or PM.

If you clicked on a link she provides, the url will have a string of code in it to tell the page to display in the manner that she had it displayed. Some times also id a user copies a url like just after making a skin change, the skin change code is also in the link. If that person also has access to the same skin the new users skin will also change. That may be a glitch in the code. It appears to be minor so I think that Invision may but that on the back burner to be fixed in the new major version 3.0.

We've been getting along great with the new code for some time now.  I almost hate to ask about the now available update to 2.3.2 but our free support will run out soon.  It seems like a good idea to be as current as possible when that happens.  What does anyone know about the changes?

You should be able to access upgrades, you just want be able to submit support request.

Correction security upgrades, but not major upgrades.

If you haven't keep an updated license fpr the code you will not be able to have major version upgrades but Invision will still allow security upgrades.
