Harry Potter Beyond has been online for a long long time now. However, I have become serious about it from last november only. The main site along with the gallery, forums and TSL are all up and a Fanart section is coming soon!
The forums have been online for about 3 months now and are starting to get members in the last couple of weeks. We are in need of more members on the forums as well as someone who can help open and mantain a RPG forum (I myself am really crappy at RPGing since I was never interested in it :p    But almost all of my visitors love RPGs so i need someone who can help me with it)

The main site has over 200 pages of content and is fairly integrated with the forums. The galleries contain hundreds of images related to Movie 5 as well as hundreds more related to Movie 4 and Book 7.

Check em out and tell me how I could improve them. Constructive Criticism is always encouraged!! :D

We also have many staff positions vacant at the moment! PM me or email me at pritthish@gmail.com if you want to become an admin / mod/ newsposter / gallery manager / content writer :D

No offence, but it's not very obvious; one of the rules of effective advertising would have to be a nice BIG LINK!! :p

I'll get this reviewed later today :)

1) First impression - Clean looking layout, perhaps a little busy even though I get the feeling you're going for a simplistic look?

2) Content - Plenty of content, all the content looks accurate in both a canon sense and a spellings sense! Mostly expansive content, well thought out, easy to read. Great job!

3) Organisation - News is relatively up to date, always a good thing to see on a HP site. Your advert here is good, detailed yet not swamping potential viewers with information either. My only gripe would be that you didn't either make the link stand out, therefore I assumed there was no link, or you could make the link seperate to the advert:

1 - Blah blah blah advert blah info blah blah link blah blah blah
2 - Blah blah blah advert blah info blah blah
Link or Link

Also I'm getting quite fond of images being used in advertising now, I've seen a few people using either a button or a small banner when advertising their site as a header to their thread or as their link to the site. Could be something worth considering, it's an eye catching way and at the moment it's still a relatively unused advertising tool ;)

4) Layout - As I mentioned in the first impressions part, it's clean and the styling is simplistic; however I feel it's a little cluttered. Having the stats, the banner exchange, the browse with firefox, the search and the forum login it makes the site feel like you're trying to get all the above info across to people (in which case maybe use a better suited layout) in a minimalistic format and I don't feel it's working.

5) USP, Unique "Selling" Point - Unique points aren't leaping out at me, if you have something that others don't then you have to exploit it and plug it everywhere possible as it'll be your main way of getting people in. If you don't have anything unique then maybe look into doing something different, or do something that only a few other sites are doing; otherwise you have a long and hard uphill struggle to get people in to join.

6) Reviewer Comments - Personally I like this site a lot, the progress you've made in 3 months is brilliant. Bloody well done to you :D ! A few minor points that need some attention in my opinion however that is just my opinion :p

to rich_505,
yeah, I know i'm really crappy when it comes to advertizing :p  I agree that the layout of the site is rather unsuitable...   V6 was made while HPB was still a pass time for me and I used to get like 200 unique visitors a month... I had much less stuff back then, so thats why the crowded layout :p However, V7 is on its way :D  Its gonna be fab! I've again gone for a minimalistic look, but made the layout so that it doesn't look over-crowded ;)

Also, i'm glad that you liked me site and the up to date news :)  I run the site all by myself (I "officially" have a co-webby who's a total git and doesn't do anything, unfortunately...) and usually spend atleast 3 hrs each day to it :)

As to the USP, well, i've been going around Deviantart and various other art communities and am making a sort of "hall of fame" for some of the world's best HP fanart from artists all over the world. I currently have gathered over eight hundred unique artwork from people  all over the world and will release the collection as soon as I have 1500  artwork. Plus, I have some big plans for HPB which I will start on as soon as i move to the UK this sept and get a VPS or a dedi :)

Also, if anyone here loves to role play, please help me out in creating a RPG :S

I am very pleased to announce that Seeker Awards (formerly seekerawards.uni.cc) is now a part of Harry Potter Beyond. Louise, the creator of seeker awards, has kindly granted me permission to continue with seeker awards as she herself is too busy now. However, she is still a judge for Seeker Awards Season 10 which will start around the second week of June!!
