I've been thinking of learning Actionscript, but I've got a few questions.
1)Is it worth learning? Basically, does anyone who has experience with Actionscript reccomend I learn it? I'm sure I could get by just using Java Script, but I've seen some pretty impressive stuff done with flash/actionscript.
2)Do you need a version of Flash do code with actionscript? Or could I just do it in notepad or another text editor?
3)If the answer is no (meaning I don't ned flash), then can someone refer me to a good tutorial site. I've been looking around Google and some coding forums I'm a member on, and have had no luck finding anything.
Thanks,
Kevin

Theoetically you could code in Actionscript just into Notepad, etc. But you would need Flash in order to attach an Actionscript script to a Flash document. Hope that makes sense.

1) Yes its well worth it, you couldn't really ever do what actionscript can achieve (when done beautifully) with javascript.
2) I'd recommend it, notepad doesn't really help for beginners.
3) I'd download an e-book on actionscript. Its much easier that way.
