Thread Rules:

1) Remeber who you're speaking to and what we do for the Harry Potter community

2) Constructive criticism only

3) Remain civil at all times

4) Anyone breaking these rules or any of the general forum rules will be suspended

Please provide any feedback about how we can improve mass emails to our members in terms of the content etc.

I personally don't mind the mass e-mails, although I think I can guess what other people may find annoying with them - it's the frequency.

Quite often I receive sometimes two or three a day (thinking particularly of yesterday), with pretty much the same content.

Perhaps if they were only sent out once a week it would be better.

But as I said, I don't mind them - it's nice to know what's going on sometimes :)

I don't mind the mass emails at all. I kind of like them, though I've seen and heard a few people complaining about the frequency.

I don't mind them. I find them easy enough to read and then delete them if I need to, so it's not like they take up loads of space or time.

With regards to the frequency, mass emailing is usually the only way we can get members to listen to us; when ever we make announcement threads etc people ignore them :p And the past 2 months have been very big for TPP :D

i dont mind them at all. If i havent been able to get on here for a while its nice to see whats going on etc. especially if i only have a short amount of time to check my emails, i can quickly scan through and see what i have missed.

To be honest coming back to find them has been a blessing as it's caught me up with things Rich has forgotten to mention during our lengthy update chats whilst I was without the internet.

At the end of the day, they are usually hardly sent, with the exception of recently.. It doesn't take long to delete them if you're not interested, plus it's also a great reminder to you if you've forgotten in the past.

I made a Gmail account just for TPP and WizExAu stuff which I check about once a week, so there's a remedy right there for those who don't like the frequency of them. And it's refreshing to know some of the things that even staff weren't informed of prior to the email. You just have to check the email account, as to follow our rules. But I personally like to keep my personal email account away from websites, subscriptions, etc., as I'm sure many others do as well.

And I move that we remain bypassing the "Receive emails from Administrators" function, as I know that will crop up here sometime. I believe it important to inform members of our new features, especially with the new options etc. that are seemingly produced daily.

They dont take long to rad and I enjoy reading up on new things here. There are tons of new things here, thanks to the hard work going on, so that is why there are a few more than normal, as well.
